Methuen — Robert A. Lord, 83, of Methuen, passed away at the Nevins Nursing Home on Saturday, October 26. He was born in Lawrence on November 13, 1929, and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1947 before moving to Methuen in 1957. After high school he was employed by the American Woolen Company before serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service he was a supervisor at Western Electric for 33 years retiring in 1987.
He is survived by two nephews, Richard Hoffman of Fairfax, Va., and Russell Hoffman of Jackpot, Nev.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, October 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral service will be held also on Tuesday, October 29, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with burial to follow at the West Parish Cemetery in Andover.
