North Andover — Eleanora “Lita” (Greenglass) Gilboard, 82, of North Andover, died at her home on Wednesday morning after a long illness.
Mrs. Gilboard was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School and Mary Brooks Junior College. She was a resident of Lawrence for 27 years and moved to North Andover in 1977. Mrs. Gilboard was a designer of children’s wall hangings.
She was a life member of Hadassah and was active in Temple Emanuel and Sisterhood of Temple Emanuel. She was formerly a member of the Greater Lawrence Jewish community Center and Congregation Tifereth Anshai Sfard & Sons of Israel.
Mrs. Gilboard is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Gilboard; her children, Shelley and her husband, Richard Abrahams and Bruce and his wife, Bethany Gilboard. She was the cherished grandmother of Melissa Abrahams, Rebecca Abrahams, Andrew Gilboard and Samuel Gilboard; and also the sister of William Greenglass and the late Hermine Rosenberg.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Temple Emanuel, 7 Haggetts Pond Road, (off Route 133), Andover on Friday, November 1, at 11 a.m. Interment in Temple Emanuel Cemetery, South Lawrence.
