Andover — Catherine Louise (McCarron) Buckley, 98, of Andover died peacefully on November 1, 2013, with her family at her side, at The Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
She was born in Boston on November 9, 1914, to the late John and Catherine (McCann) McCarron. Her brothers, Jack and James McCarron predeceased her.
Catherine was the widow of Francis J. Buckley, who died in August 1993, after they had shared 56 years of marriage.
Our beloved Nanny Kay adored her family and enjoyed world travel. Her warmth, sense of humor and unconditional love were the lifeblood of her family.
She leaves her son, James F. Buckley and Jane Moss of Carlsbad, Calif.; her six grandchildren, James Buckley Jr., Catherine Thompson and her husband, Richard, Kara Stein and her husband, Bruce, Colleen Buckley, David Buckley, and Celine Frechette, and Carolyn Pelletier and her husband, Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren; a niece; and several cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, November 6, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 5, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover.
