Peter Anthony Wolf

Haverhill, MA — On Halloween evening, Peter Anthony Wolf, 50, suffered a massive heart attack at his home in Haverhill. Quickly and without suffering, he departed our world for the next.

Peter, formerly of Rutland, Mass., was immensely talented with his hands. His precision and skills were admired by his co-workers at Pro-Fab Metal Products in Lynn, where he worked as a CNC operator, and by the procession of neighborhood children who knew him as the kind man who fixed their bicycles.

Peter had fought and conquered the evil of addiction years ago, and now devoted endless hours of his meager free time to mentoring and guiding others through support programs in the Amesbury area. He had learned to demonstrate his Christian faith by simply giving more to the world than he took from it.

His wit, smile and selfless kindness will be missed by many.

Peter’s sudden passing leaves his two daughters, Ashley Wolf of Green Bay, Wis., and Hannah Wolf of Rutland, Mass.; as well as their mother and his wife, Janice Wolf of Rutland. He was predeceased by his father, Paul J. Wolf of Westboro Mass. He is survived by his mother, Lois Ann Barraclough of Albuquerque, N.M.; and by his siblings, John Wolf of Colorado Springs, Colo., Richard Wolf of Worcester, Mass., Katy Potts of Dedham, Mass., James Wolf of Bonita Springs, Fla., Thomas Wolf and Marion Brusuelas of Herndon, Va., Paul Wolf of Scarborough, Maine, and Sheila Coly of Agawam, Mass. Nineteen nieces and nephews will also miss his presence.

In the last year of his life, Peter formed a deep and joyous relationship of friendship and affection with Laura Riley of Haverhill, for whom his departure leaves an enormous void.

Peter is gone far too early, but left as the finest person he had been in his 50 short years.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, at the Highland Street Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.

There will be a service for friends and family at the conclusion of visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s name may be made to the National Leukemia Society, 9 Erie Drive, Natick, MA 01760.
