Haverhill — Janice E. (Thompson) Vadeboncoeur, 69, of Haverhill, passed away on Sunday, November 3, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, with her family by her side.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late, Hector C. and Elaine H. (Driscoll) Thompson. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1962.
Mrs. Vadeboncoeur was employed at the former Western Electric in North Andover, and later worked as a crossing guard for the Haverhill School System for many years, retiring seven years ago.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her life and she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.
She leaves her beloved husband of 52 years, Harold J. Vadeboncoeur; a son, Harold J. “Joe” Vadeboncoeur; six daughters, Lisa Vedeboncoeur of Haverhill, Corrine Vadeboncoeur of Haverhill, Doreena Pellot of Merrimack, N.H., Kimberly Alper and her husband, Gary, of Haverhill, Karen Cain and her husband, Stephen, of Wilmington, and Amy Vadeboncoeur and her husband, Anthony Rodreguez, of Haverhill; two sisters, Doreena Smith and her husband, Wayne, of Haverhill, and Karen Watkins of East Hampstead, N.H.; three brothers, Kevin Thompson of Haverhill, David Thompson and his wife, Jeannie, of Bradford, and Mickey Thompson, also of Bradford; two grandchildren she raised as her own, Destiny Vadeboncoeur and Alexis Ledesma; best friends, Brenda Homan and Irving Gaudet; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, James Thompson.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Route 125, Haverhill.
