Methuen, MA — Charles Edward Lonardo, 70, of Methuen passed away on April 30, 2013, at the Nevins Nursing Center. He was the son of the late Wally and Dot (Fettes) Lonardo.
He was raised and educated in Lawrence and was a star basketball player for Lawrence High School, Class of 1961. He was a manager of the old Warner Movie Theatre in Lawrence, then managed Firestone Tires for many years. He loved sports, especially the Red Sox, and had a passion for horse racing at Rockingham Park. He enjoyed his years spent in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and had great memories with friends, Busty, Jeff and Pete.
He is survived by his former wife, his angel, Joyce Landry of Salisbury and his daughter, Christine. He was the very proud grandfather of Noah and Tyler of Haverhill. He also leaves his brothers, Eddie and Louie, and several nieces and nephews. He had a special bond with his nephew, Chucky Lonardo, and his niece, Kari Crompton.
