Methuen — Kevin M. Kuchar, 61, of Methuen, died peacefully Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Lawrence and educated in Methuen, he was the son of the late Aleck Kuchar and the late Nancy J. (Dudek) Kuchar of Methuen. Kevin was a graduate of Tenney Memorial High School, Class of 1969.
In his early years, Kevin was employed in the food service industry and held various culinary positions at the Red Tavern Restaurant in Methuen and Bishops Restaurant in Lawrence. Subsequently, he was employed by General Electric (Aircraft Division) in Lynn, Mass.
Kevin was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed basketball, football and baseball. He also enjoyed the art of cooking, sketching and painting. In his younger years, Kevin enjoyed and frequented many rock and roll concerts.
Kevin is survived by his sister, Marlene K. Moore and her husband, Michael T. Moore, of Pelham, N.H.; and a niece, Melody K. Moore of South Boston, Mass. Also surviving him are Mae Zioto (aunt) of Lowell and Claire Kuchar (aunt) of Methuen and many cousins.
Kevin will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a funeral service following at noon at the Kenneth H.
