Rita S. (Caruso) Minicucci, 88

North Andover — Rita S. (Caruso) Minicucci, age 88, of North Andover, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Salvatore and Genevieve Caruso.

She was born in Lawrence and spent her youth and summers in her beloved Salisbury Beach. Rita will be greatly missed by Louis P. Minicucci, Sr., her loving husband of 64 years. Rita was a devoted mother and homemaker and had a reputation as a great cook. She also enjoyed painting and sewing and loved to swim in the ocean. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, from whom she received her greatest joy in life.

In addition to her husband, Louis, she is survived by her sons, Louis P. Minicucci Jr. and David J. Minicucci and his wife, Hope of North Andover; daughter-in-law, Judith Minicucci of North Andover; and sister, Estelle “Dolly” Mailloux of Salisbury Beach; grandchildren, Christina Minicucci and husband, Eric Loth of North Andover, Louis P. Minicucci III of North Andover, Paula M. Swan and her husband, Steven of Amelia Island, Fla., Lisa Vayanos of North Andover and Michael V. Mammola of Amesbury; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Fritz and Saoirse Loth, David and Hope Swan, James and Matthew Vayanos, and Michael Jr., Jenna M. and Vincent P. Mammola.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Lawrence General Hospital for their kindness and care of Rita.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family may call from 2 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 25. Burial will follow at the Ridgewood Cemetery, 177 Salem Street, North Andover.
