North Andover — Ann Damon, 91, of North Andover, died peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Prescott Nursing Home in North Andover. She was born November 28, 1921 in Methuen.
Ann graduated from Methuen High School and after completing business school worked at the Plymouth Mills in Lawrence. She then dedicated over 30 loyal years to the Lincoln Foods Co. while tirelessly raising her family.
A fabulous seamstress, Ann creatively made her girl’s Easter outfits complete with matching coats, clothes for their Barbie dolls, and continued by making their high school prom dresses. She also took great pride in keeping a beautiful home and flower gardens. Ann was good at everything she did and it showed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John C. Damon; her daughters, Joanne Damon and her significant other, Mark Das, Maria Damon and her husband, Mark Fruean; brothers, John Busta and his wife, Teresa, Thomas Busta and his wife, Grace; sisters, Stella Hall, Mary Hall and her husband, Walter; grandchildren, Crystal Drane, Karen Bracken, Jessica Simmons and Brett Damon; great-grandchildren, Hannah Joy and Daniel; along with many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by a son, John C.Damon Jr.; brothers, Frank, Martin and Walter Busta; a sister, Sophie Busta; and brother-in-law, Richard Hall.
The family would like to thank the Prescott Nursing Home, especially the Homestead wing, for the compassionate care she received. The family would also like to recognize the care and concern they showed for her husband John.
