Methuen, MA — H. Myles Coates, 58, of Methuen, passed away on Friday, March 21, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family, after a two-year, courageous battle with kidney cancer. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Andover. He was a graduate of Andover High School and U.N.H., with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Myles worked in the computer industry as a sales executive. He worked at many computer companies, including Kodak and AGFA. He was successful by winning many awards and trips to places like Africa, Israel and Hawaii.
He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy M. (Gee) Coates; and his siblings, Steven M. and Janet M. Coates.
Myles was a dedicated husband and father, who loved spending time with his family.
Myles is survived by his loving wife, Martha J. (Scalley) Coates; his children, Myles P., Catherine M. and Christine M. Coates, all of Methuen; his father, Howard Myles Coates of Andover; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, March 24, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 25, at St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Interment will be in the spring, in Grove Cemetery, Andover.
