North Andover, MA. — Arline T. (Kanan) McGuire, 78, a resident of North Andover, Mass., passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover, surrounded by her family.
Born in Lawrence, Mass., Arline was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, and Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse at Lawrence General Hospital for 45 years, retiring in 2001. Arline was an attendant of St. Michael's Parish in North Andover. She enjoyed making braided rugs and playing cards with all of her girl friends. Arline also enjoyed crafting, reading and going out to eat, as well as trips to the beach. She loved to watch her grandchildren's sporting events, as well as spending time with her puppy, "Frankie."
The widow of the late Francis Joseph McGuire Jr., members of Arline's family include
her children, Kathleen Champoux of North Andover, Ellen Pellerin and her husband, Raymond, of Hampstead, N.H., and Francis McGuire of North Andover. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Pellerin and his wife, Amy, Kimberly Pellerin, Caitlin McGuire, and Benjamin McGuire; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Arline Pellerin. Arline is also survived by her brother, Joseph Kanan and his wife, Sheila, of Haverhill, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St.., North Andover. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 27, at 10 a.m., in St. Michael's Church, 196 Main St., North Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
