Salvatore Malandrino, 93


Andover, MA — Salvatore Malandrino, 93, of Andover, died April 1, 2014, at the Berkeley Nursing Center in Lawrence. Mr. Malandrino was born in Pachino, Sicily to the late Diego and Vincenza (Aruta) Malandrino. Salvatore worked for the Town of Andover for many years as a custodian at the West Elementary School, where he was loved by staff and students. He was an active parishioner of St. Augustine's Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Andover.

Salvatore was predeceased by his wife, Conncettina (Calcina) Malandrino; his brothers, Joseph and Michael Malandrino. He is survived by his children, Michael J. Malandrino of Andover, Corinne Martin and husband, Daniel, of Methuen; and grandchildren, Jefferey, Caitlyn and Patrick Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Malandrino's family would like to thank the staff at the Berkeley Nursing Center for the loving care they showed Salvatore and for making it his home away from home.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St., Andover, MA 01810. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Augustine's Church, Andover. Entombment at the St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Mausoleum will follow the Mass.
