Pauline L. Dion, 87

Methuen — Pauline L. Dion, 87, of Methuen, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Sutton Hill Retirement Center, N. Andover. Mrs. Dion was born and raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School and was a graduate of St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing, Lowell. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the emergency room of St. John’s Hospital for many years. Pauline was very involved with Girl Scouts and served as the leader of The Girl Scout Troop at St. Augustine’s Parish, Lawrence. She was a member of The Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at St. Benedicts Center, Still River, Mass., and was also an attendant of Sacred Heart Parish, Lawrence. Pauline was very dedicated to her church and had a deep love for The Traditional Faith and bringing people to God. She had a passion for the love of Jesus and had a special devotion to The Blessed Mother for the many rosaries that she said. She also had a deep love for her family, children and grandchildren.

The daughter of the late Raymond and Marie–Laure (Fecteau) Dion and the widow of Armand J. Dion, her family members include her daughters, Celeste M. and her husband, Vincent Mahoney, of Methuen, Jocelyn L. and her husband, John Voissem, of Gordonsville, Va., and Deborah A. DeMarco of Haverhill, Mass. She also leaves her son, John B. and his wife, Maureen Dion, of Pepperell, Mass. Pauline leaves her grandchildren, Brad Mahoney, Shawn Mahoney, Cara Bronson, Taryn Demers, Jay Voissem, Jenny Voissem, Matthew Dion, Yvonne Dion, Paul Dion, Mark Dion, John Dion, Anthony Carsanaro and Arianna Carsanaro; and her great-grandchildren, Adrien, Iris, Gavin, Angelina and Anthony; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Hamel of New York, N.Y., and Mildred Hamel of Bedford, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Monday, August 19, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Latin Tridentine Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, August 20, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at The St. Benedict’s Center, 282 Still River Road, Still River, MA 01467.
