North Andover — Mary I. (Lewis) Johnston, 86, of North Andover, formerly of Malden, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 19, 2013. Mary was born in Melrose, Mass., on April 5, 1927, to the late Bertrand and Bertha (Gerade) Lewis. Mary was the office manager for the Spectro-Film Co. in Billerica for over 25 years, until her retirement at the age of 80. During her spare time, Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading, however, her greatest passion was being in the company of her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. Johnston. She is survived by her four children who loved her very much, Kenneth R. Johnston and his wife, Jill, of Atkinson, N.H., Karen L. Milton and her husband, David, of East Hampstead, N.H., Patti L. Pedro and her husband, Paul, of North Andover, and Laurie J. Petto and her husband, Phillip, of North Andover; her nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, August 22, at 10 a.m., in the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover. Interment will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
