Lawrence — George J. Solomon, 91, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home surrounded by his wife and loving family.
Prior to his retirement from Polymer Corporation, he was employed for 25 years in the milk/dairy industry. George was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was very active in the construction industry having developed and built several properties.
George leaves his wife of 48 years, Margaret (Cargill) Solomon. He leaves siblings Emily V. Solomon, Ernest Solomon and his wife, Eleanor, Alice Ramey and her husband, Rev. Deacon Allan, and many nieces and nephews.
George’s family would like to thank the staff of Mary Immaculate for their loving care and attention he received while residing there.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, Mass. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover, Mass.
