HAMPSTEAD, N.H. — Shawn M. Bisson, 25, of Hampstead, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, from injuries sustained in an accident.
Born and raised in Methuen, son of Edward J. Bisson and Karen (D'Urso) Bisson, he graduated Methuen High School with the class of 2002, where he was a member of the Ranger's varsity hockey team. He attended Northern Essex Community College and had recently returned to the school to finish his education.
He had enjoyed playing hockey from the time he was a child and most recently was a member of the Tradesmen team of the H-Puck Men's Hockey League of Salem, N.H.
Shawn was employed by Stefano's Landscaping Design of Georgetown, and was a member of the West Congregational Church of Haverhill.
Devoted to his wife, family and extended family, he also enjoyed four-wheeling and paintball.
He is survived by his wife of nine months, Lisa P. (Spaneas) Bisson; his father and step-mother, Edward and Michelle Bisson of Merrimac; his mother, Karen (D'Urso) Bisson of Methuen; his brother, Mark R. Bisson and step-brother, Nicholas R. Alexopulos, both of Merrimac; his step-sister, Ashleigh Marrier of Lowell; paternal grandmother, Marie Bisson of Lawrence; maternal grandmother, Patricia Cravino of Methuen; aunt, Cheryl D'Urso; uncle and aunt, Raymond and Rose Bisson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Steve Borges; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Tammy Spaneas; and two cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at West Congregational Church, 767 Broadway, Haverhill, with burial to follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill.
