Reginald F. Goulet, 75

Lawrence, MA — Reginald F. (Reggie) Goulet, 75, of Errol, N.H., died at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury on Friday, September 20, 2013. He was surrounded by his son, his sister and two close friends.

Born in Tupper Lake, N.Y., on April 22, 1938, he was the son of Solomon and O’Dianna Goulet. Reggie was formally a resident of Lawrence and Methuen for many years before moving to Errol. He was a 1956 graduate of Tenney High School in Methuen.

He worked for the Shoe Shop in Lawrence in the mills, when he first married, and years later, went on to Compugraphic in the sheet metal department as a manager. From there he went on to be an entrepreneur of several different businesses of his own, such as paint shop, restaurants, sub shops, night clubs, real estate property owner, campground, etc. He was a brilliant man with a great mind for business.

Reggie was a devoted family man to his son, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He was always trying to do for everyone else selflessly, without asking for anything in return. His family meant everything to him.

He was very talented in woodworking and he loved to build houses, and create all sorts of beautiful pieces of furniture and special things from wood. He loved the outdoors, and fishing with his son and grandson was one of his favorite pastimes. He was a pillar of the community and did so much for the kids. He had an annual fishing derby for the kids in his trout pond in Errol, and an annual cookout with entertainment by his sister, Trudy Marie. He did all this out of love and never asked for anything in return. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Family members include his loving son, Reginald J. Goulet of Haverhill, Mass., and his daughter-in-law, Joann Goulet of East Hampstead, N.H.; his brothers, Solomon Goulet and his wife, Mildred, of Sunset Beach, N.C., Roger Goulet and his wife, Margie, of Foxboro, Mass., and Frank Goulet and his wife, Betty, of Methuen, Mass.; sisters, Delores Morarity of Salisbury, Mass., Trudy Woomer and her husband, Marty, of Greenwood, Del., and Marie Dumont of Derry, N.H.; grandchildren. Tara, David, Sarah, and Derek Goulet. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
