Marie Carmen Dello Russo, 91

Hyde Park and North Andover — Marie Carmen Dello Russo (Farretta), 91, formerly of Hyde Park and North Andover, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Marie was born to the late Patrick and Josephine Farretta. She grew up in Roslindale. She worked as a welder during World War II at the Charlestown Navy Yard, and she also worked for an insurance company for several years. She married the late George J. Dello Russo in 1952. They spent many happy years in Hyde Park raising their family.

Marie loved spending time with her family, cooking Italian food, reading Westerns, and watching the Red Sox. Church and prayer were always a vital part of Marie’s life. She was always supportive of her family and she will be greatly missed.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George; and her siblings, Anthony, Joseph, Thomas, Robert, Edward, Rita, Patrick, and Diana.

Marie is survived by her loving children, Lorraine (Edward) Maloof, Raymond (Myong) Dello Russo, George (Carole) Dello Russo, Patrick (Tammy) Dello Russo, and Anthony (Nancy) Dello Russo. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; her siblings, Richard, William, and Lucy; and many nieces and nephews.
