North ANDOVER — M. Christine (Dupuis) Burkinshaw, 68, wife of Robert W. Burkinshaw, of North Andover, died on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at her residence and surrounded by her family.
Born, raised and educated in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Pauline (Garneau) Dupuis.
Christine and her husband, Bob, owned and operated the longtime family business, Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie with locations in Salem and North Andover, and were members of the Retail Confectioners International (RCI) and the New England Retail Confectioners Association.
Chris loved and adored her family and friends. She will forever be remembered as loving, kindhearted, generous, and fun. She was known to love French Martinis, Aruba, jewelry, and Coach bags. Those close to her will forever be thankful for being a part of such an amazing life. She will be missed beyond words, but passed peacefully and is reunited with her son.
Besides her husband, with whom she shared 26 years together, Christine is survived by four children, Tracey and her husband, Kyle Harris of Hampstead, N.H., Amy Cirigliano of Lawrence, Craig and his wife, Jennifer Burkinshaw of Salem, and Jaclyn and her husband, Bruce Russell of Middleton; four grandchildren, Meagan, Allison, Reese, and Owen; a brother, Paul and his wife, Gerry Dupuis of Venice, Fla.; a sister, Louise LaCroix of Windsor, Vt.; her beloved pet dog, Ramsey; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Keith Cirigliano, and her first husband, Michael Cirigliano.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be held Thursday, October 3, at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, North Street, Route 114, Salem, at the Peabody line. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
