Williston, Fl — Arthur V. Gelardi of Williston, Fla., passed on September 21, 2013, at the home of his son, Mark, and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Williston. A graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1943, and Boston University in 1952, where he earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in business administration. He also held a master's degree from Salem State College. Upon graduation from college, he worked in the advertising department of Jordan Marsh, now Macy's, in Boston. He later worked as advertising manager at A.B. Sutherland Co. of Lawrence, later joining Elliott Stores of New England as advertising manager. In 1973, he founded AdServices Unlimited in Andover, Mass., where his firm serviced many nationally known furniture manufacturers, as well as greater-area clients.
Upon his retirement in 1992, he moved to Beverly Hills, Fla., and later went to live with his son, Mark, and his wife, Mary, in Williston. He leaves his son Mark, and daughter-in law, Mary; grandson, Matthew, of Stoddard, N.H.; granddaughter, Melinda of Suffolk, Va.; three great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild-in-law; a dearest family friend, Deborah S. Cieslik of Dracut, Mass.; and one niece and one nephew.
Services will be held at the discretion of his son, Mark.
