Nashua, NH — Alphee H. Michaud, 86 of Nashua, N.H., and formerly of Lawrence, Mass., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Mass.
Born and educated in Canada, he was the son of Hubald and Rose (Martin) Michaud. Alphee moved to Lawrence and for 22 years he worked for Essem Packing in Lawrence and for six years as an assembler with Craig Systems in Amesbury, retiring in 1990.
Alphee was a 3rd Degree with the Knights of Columbus Coucil 67, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting and cooking.
The widower of Anna (Bois) Michaud, he is survived by his children, daughters, Alphena Morissette and her husband, Armand, of Chicago, Ill., Micheline Schevis of Methuen, Mass., Marielle Penney and her husband, Richard, of Nashua, N.H., Nancy Schapero and her husband, Doug, of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Ann Marie Sciuto and her husband, Sylvester, of Londonderry, N.H.; two sons, Michael Michaud and his wife, Marie - France, of Hudson, N.H., and Richard Michaud of Boston, Mass.;
two brothers, Yvon Michaud of Lawrence, Mass., and Martin Michaud of St. Basile, New Brunswick, Canada; two sisters, Claire Bois, also of St. Basile New Brunswick, Canada and Gaetane Martin of St. Joseph New Brunswick, Canada.
14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. Monica's Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, Mass.
