Agnes (Conte) Bevilacqua

Haverhill — Agnes (Conte) Bevilacqua, 89, of Haverhill died Saturday morning, October 26, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Haverhill, January 21, 1924, daughter of the late Federico and Gemma (Grassi) Conte.

She was educated in the Haverhill and Medford school systems.

Mrs. Bevilacqua was employed for a period of time as a Fancy Stitcher in the Haverhill shoe shops.

An accomplished cook and baker, she loved music, art and enjoyed drawing, painting and wood carving. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed Sunday dinners and spending time at the family's beach house with many good friends and family.

She was the wife of the late State Representative Francis J. Bevilacqua who died in 2009 and her survivors include a daughter, Linda and her husband, Daniel Malynn of Haverhill, with whom she lived; four sons, Rick Bevilacqua and his partner, Nora Carroll of Haverhill, James and his wife, Diane Bevilacqua of Haverhill, Francis and his wife, Gabrielle Bevilacqua of Plaistow, N.H., Michael and his wife, Tamra Bevilacqua of Portland, Maine; a brother, Frank and his wife, Lena Conte of Haverhill; sister-in-law, Jennie Conte of Haverhill; 11 grandchildren, Francis III, Eric, Jim, Kate (and her fiancé Carmen Parisi), Anthony, Andrew, Alex, Matthew and Nicholas Bevilacqua, Kelly, Chris and his wife, Abigail Malynn; two great-grandchildren, Annabelle Malynn and Gianna Parisi; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bevilacqua was also the sister of the late Marino Conte, Americo “Speed” Conte, Alfred Conte, Sebastian “Pee Wee” Conte, Orlando “Lindy” Conte, Rudolph Conte, Vera Wenige, and Angelina “Angie” Conte.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral on Tuesday morning, October 29, at 9 a.m. from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
