Manchester, NH — Norma M. (Salvo) Cocchiaro, 91, of Manchester, N.H., passed away peacefully Friday, October 25, 2013, at her son’s home in Manchester, N.H., surrounded by her family. Norma was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Joseph Salvo and Carmela (Moro) Salvo, and the widow of Philip Cocchiaro.
Norma was raised and educated in Lawrence graduated from Lawrence High School in 1940 and has been a longtime parishioner at Holy Rosary Church and also at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Seabrook.
Norma was a people person. If you were walking down the street and didn’t know her, you would walk away with a new friend. Norma loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. She also loved shopping and spending time at the beach.
Norma is survived by her sons, Philip J. Cocchiaro and his wife, JoAnne of Goffstown, N.H., Carmen J. Cocchiaro and his wife, Susan of Manchester, N.H., and John A. Cocchiaro of Manchester, N.H.; her grandchildren, Jennie LaBranche of Bristow, Va., Carla Bolduc of Weare, N.H., Kiel Lynch of Derry, N.H., Cory Cocchiaro of Haverhill, Mass., and Kristin Cocchiaro of Somersworth, N.H.; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invites to calling hours on Tuesday, October 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, October 30, at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery Lawrence.
