Zoltan C. "Chuck" Szabo, 89

North Andover, MA — Zoltan C. "Chuck" Szabo, 89, a resident of North Andover, MA, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA.

Born in Manhattan, NY, Zoltan was educated in the New York City School System and was a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Zoltan had worked as an Industrial Engineer for Nichols and Stone Furniture in Gardner, MA. Prior to that, he and his wife had owned World on a String Kite Store in Northampton, MA. Zoltan had spent many years on the Planning Board in Hardwick, MA.

The widower of Dorothea M. (Droesch) Szabo, family members include his son, Andrew J. Szabo of Agawam, MA; daughters, Margaret Sleevi and her husband, Mark, of Longmont, CO, and Catherine S. Ryan and her husband, Dan, of North Andover, MA. Zoltan was predeceased by his children, Stephen C. Szabo and Elizabeth A. (Szabo) Hannagan. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Molly Ryan, Benjamin Ryan, Jessica Sleevi, Jon Sleevi, Arron Szabo, Anthony Szabo, and Jamie (Hannagan) Davila.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Aloysius Church, 64 Church St., Gilbertville, MA. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, also in Gilbertville. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 8, 2013, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA.
