Methuen — Jennie A. (Reed) Clancy–Derderian, 91, of Methuen, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, with her family by her side. She was born in Machias, Maine, and was the daughter of the late Lowell and Gladys (Davis) Reed.
Jennie was raised and educated in Maine, and moved to Lawrence, where she lived for the greater part of her life before moving to Methuen. She worked as a home health aide for Kelley Services for many years. Jennie loved attending her church, was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Forrest G. Clancy and Arthur A. Derderian; her daughter, Mary L. Clancy; and siblings, David, Betty, Marie, and Mary.
Jennie is survived by her son, George Clancy of Methuen; her daughters, Gayle Mitchell of Cedar Grove, N.J., Roberta Ryan of Methuen, Gladys Ruediger and her husband, Richard, of Methuen, and Jennifer Candiano of Andover; her brother, Lowell Reed Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Florida; her sister, Helen Swope of Exeter, N.H.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, November 11, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, November 12, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s–Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
