Methuen — Irene (Diodati) Quartarone, 91, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Monday morning. She was a longtime resident of North Andover and Hallandale Beach, Fla. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Philomena (DiCarlo) Diodati.
Irene was born in Wakefield, Mass., attended Lawrence Public Schools, and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1939. She was a graduate of McIntosh Business School, a member of the National Board of Realtors, a charter member of the North Andover Lady Lions, and partners in Homestead Realty and Stepping Stone School, both of North Andover.
Irene is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joseph D. Quartarone of Methuen; daughter, Irene Crane and companion, Tim Rock of Haverhill; son, J. Russell Quartarone and his wife, Marylin, of Haverhill; grandchildren, Daniel and Krista Crane of Hampton, N.H., Joseph M. Quartarone of Haverhill, Kristen and Rodney Lumley of Salem, N.H., Nicole and Mark Rinaldi of Amesbury. Irene also had six great-grandchildren, Grace and Nolan Lumley, Zachary and Charolette Rinaldi, and Jackson and Danielle Crane. Irene was predeceased by her sister, Clara Downs; brothers, Bruno Diodati and Kenneth Diodati; and stepbrother, Robert Copetta.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 13, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Her funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 14, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s–Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
