Dover, NH — Maureen Young Kissack, 52, died in her sleep on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
She was born in Methuen, Mass., and was the daughter of Nicholas and Barbara (Marsh) Young. She grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Maureen attended in schools in both Methuen, Mass., and Portland, Maine, graduating from Deering High School in 1979, and from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, in 1983.
Maureen had taught French in Springfield, Mass., and Portland. After moving to Dover more than 20 years ago, she was a private French tutor in the Dover area. She had also worked as a real estate agent for Prudential Rush Real Estate until 2003.
She loved old movies and crime shows, and enjoyed her summers at the beach in Biddeford Pool, Maine.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bruno Kissack; a daughter, Alexandra Kissack, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.; a son, Mitchell Kissack of Dover; her father, Nicholas Young of South Portland, Maine; a sister, Kathleen Littlefield of Skowhegan, Maine; a brother, Timothy Young of Wilbraham, Mass.; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, August 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Avenue, Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Joseph Church, 150 Central Ave., Dover.
