North Venice, FL — Joanne Bruno (Savelli), 68 of Venice, Fla., (previously of Andover, Mass.), passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, with her husband, Frank, by her side.
Joanne was born November 2, 1944, to Connie and John Savelli, Windsor, Conn. In 1964 she married her high school sweetheart, Frank of West Hartford, Conn., after his second year of college. Joanne supported Frank through college and medical school and later managed his medical practice in Salem, N.H. Together they also raised their four children.
Joanne and Frank moved to Florida in 1996 where she enjoyed retirement, playing golf, knitting, spoiling her beloved dogs, and spending time with her family.
Joanne leaves her husband, Francis; a brother, John of Alexandria, Va.; and was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Tina.
She leaves two sons and two daughters, Francis III and his wife, Tlalit, Gabriel, Katherine, Elizabeth (Hazelton) and her husband, Doug.
Joanne was blessed with four grandchildren, Francis IV, Amanda, Zoe, and John who all brought her great joy. She was excited by the upcoming birth of her fifth grandchild, Gabrielle Joanne, who is expected to arrive in January 2014.
She will be remembered as a devoted wife, dedicated mother, loving grandmother, and loyal and caring friend.
