Georgetown — Thomasina G. Peters left us early Monday morning, September 9, 2013, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 8. 1936, in New Bedford, Mass. She received her nursing degree from Boston University, becoming a registered nurse in 1957. In July 1961, she met her husband, Robert C. Peters, and they married on September 20, 1961. They had 35 wonderful years until his death in 1997. Her hobbies were knitting, gardening, music, loving her children and grandchildren, and rooting on her beloved New England Patriots.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Robert, and survived by her son, Dean S. Peters of Georgetown, Mass.; and a daughter, Suzanne Peacock of Goshen, N.H. She also leaves two granddaughters, Lindsay and Crystal.
She was quite simply the best mom ever.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help defray expenses.
There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, September 15, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Peters home at 26 Web Road, Georgetown, with a pot luck dinner.
