Methuen — Harold J. Johnson, 82, of Methuen passed away Monday, July 1, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
He was born in San Francisco, Calif., and lived in Methuen from a very early age.
Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. He retired from the Methuen Water Department in 1999, after heading up the water department as superintendent for many years.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Dorothy M. (Harnish) Johnson, and his cousin, Edward Rich of Standish, Maine.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 5, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial will follow the conclusion of visiting hours at 10:30 a.m., at St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main St., North Andover. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
