Beloved son of the late Charles and Catherine; loving brother of William (Jeanette), John (Marie), Catherine Butterfield (Dennis) and Gerard (Gloria; cherished uncle of 20 nieces and nephews and 27 great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by David (Mercedes), Joseph and Veronica.
Proud retired veteran of the United States Army having served as Chaplin for 23 years. Service time included tours in Germany, Korea, Egypt and the United States. Ordained in 1960 he served many parishes within the Diocese of Rockville Center. He was Chaplin to the Islip and Montauk fire departments.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be Monday December 3 at Marinello Funeral Home, Inc., 493 Middle Country Road, Coram, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, December 4 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 134 Route 25A, Coram, 2-5 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Francis Cabrini Church, Wednesday, december 5, at 11 a.m. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
