Haverhill — Jessie B. (Agnew) Wilson, 93, of Haverhill died peacefully Saturday evening December 1, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill following a short illness.
Jessie was born in Lowell, MA on October 31, 1919, the eldest child of the late Henry and Annabelle Agnew. She moved to Haverhill at a young age and attended St. James Grammar School and St. James High School.
Jessie was employed as a layout operator at the former Western Electric and retired from AT&T in 1984 after 28 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her well earned retirement by going to the beach, line dancing, getting together with her weekly card group, going on trips with her friends, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Roland W. Wilson, Jr. who died on October 22, 1958, and her brothers Harry Agnew and James Agnew. She is survived by her daughter Deborah E. and her husband William McNulty of Atkinson, NH, grandson Gary S. McNulty and his companion Gina Pappalardo of Pelham, NH granddaughter Melissa D. McNulty of Atkinson, NH, great grandson Liam A. McNulty, her sister and Red Sox buddy Eleanor Lowes of Haverhill, her lifelong friend since childhood June Dion as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: At Jessie’s request, Funeral Mass and interment in Linwood Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
