Methuen, MA — John D. Murphy, 68, of Methuen, passed away on January 1, 2013 at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers.
John was born in Lowell and raised and educated in Tewksbury. He attended Merrimack College and was a member of the Delta-Phi-Kappa Fraternity. He worked as an Electronics Technician and Quality Control Inspector for Agfa in Wilmington, MA. He was a member of the Pleasant View Citizens Club, also known as the Dewey Club, Methuen. A Friend of Bill W. John was well loved and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
John leaves a sister, Mary Riblett and her husband Thomas of Inavale, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers, Daniel J. Murphy, Robert D. Murphy and Edward J. Murphy.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8th at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church, Methuen. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lowell.
