Eileen Sevigny, 86


Dracut — Eileen (O’Neil) Sevigny, 86, passed away Saturday, January 5, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late, Girard E. Sevigny whom she married on November 9, 1947. Eileen was born in Lowell on May 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late, Ellen (Hennessey) and Charles F. O’Neil.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Union National Bank as a teller for 20 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 315 Auxiliary and was also a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Tyngsboro.

Eileen was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time and taking care of them. She is survived by her four children, Girard E. Sevigny Jr. and his wife, Sharyn of Nashua, Ronald J. Sevigny and his wife, Deborah of Nashua, Kathleen A. Beattie and her husband, Graham of Danville, N.H., and Wayne M. Sevigny and his wife Gail, of Tyngsboro; her sisters, Dolores Chaplin of Dracut and Helen Burton and her husband, Vernon of Chelmsford; her sister-in-law, Helen (Hayes) O’Neil; ten grandchildren, Cara, Aimee and her husband, Rob, Leah, Stephen and his wife, Yohanna, Caitlin, Kelly and her husband, Bill, Beth and her husband, Dan, Keith, Corey, and Kayla; three great grandchildren, Ailie, Fiona, and Sophia; as well as several nieces and nephews.Eileen is predeceased by several brothers and a sister.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut on Wednesday, January 16 from 4 until 8 PM. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home on Thursday, January 17 at 9 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsboro. Interment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. Donations may be made in Eileen’s name to the Building Fund at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 93 Lakeview Avenue, Tyngsboro, MA 01879.
