Roswell, GA formerly of Andover — Kay (Katie) Hajjar, 96, formerly of Andover, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Monday, January 21 in Georgia at the home of her daughter, Bonnie and son-in-law, Christopher, where she resided in loving care and comfort.
Kay was married to the late Kareem Hajjar (Buy-Rite Foods, Inc.). She was a member of the Andover Baptist Church and a championship golfer and member of the Indian Ridge CC of Andover. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was a daughter, wife, sitho, sith-sitho and mother like no other, possessing quiet wisdom, humility, poise, strength, style and grace. She loved God and God loved her.
She lived by example. She never raised her voice or got angry. She was an amazing and special woman. One of a kind, she made a difference.
Kay is now with her husband Kareem. She will be missed by her daughter, Bonita Rea and husband, Christopher of Roswell, Ga.; and two sons, William Hajjar and his wife, Patricia (Sweet) of Salem, N.H., and John Hajjar of Key West, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and her “best friend” and daily companion”, Gizmo.
ARRANGEMENTS: Per the wishes of the deceased, there will be no calling hours or memorial. Her wish was to “be happy”, “keep smiling”, and “buy gum”.
