Lynn — Patrick J. “Mr. President” Cavanaugh, 55 years of Lynn and formerly of Salem, N.H. died Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness. He was born in Lawrence, the son of the late John Cavanaugh and Arlene A. ( Schmottlach) (Cavanaugh ) Gath. He was raised in Salem, N.H. and was a graduate of Salem High School class of 1975. He has lived in Lynn the past 25 years.
Patrick loved life. He was known as “Mr. President” because he wanted things on his terms. He is also quoted saying” Let’s lay the cards on the table”. He was a lover of animals, loved the computer, loved sports and played hockey in high school. Patrick was a manager for Pep Boys in Everett for the past three years, and has been involved in retail sales management for many years. Patrick was devoted to his late grandmother, Alice Fletcher.
Patrick is survived by his aunts, cousins and many friends. Patrick is the brother of the late Timothy R. Cavanaugh.
ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 21 at 11 a.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main Street, Salem, N.H. Donations may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B 102, Danvers, MA 01923.
