Lincoln Todd Walker, 88


Merrimac — Lincoln passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27 at his home in Merrimac after a long illness.

Lincoln was born in Concord N.H. on June 10, 1924, The son of the late Ruth Todd and Kent Walker. Link attended school in Amesbury and Newton, N.H. He graduated from Amesbury High School class of 1941. Link continued his education at Tilton School, Tilton N.H. and from there he went to Maine Maritime Academy. He graduated in 1947 as an Ensign. Link served in World War II in the Maritime service in both theaters of war. After his discharge he returned home and married, Shirley Woodcock in 1947. They had a long and happy 64 years. The couple had three children. Lincoln Todd Jr, Jennifer and Kent.

Link was involved with construction as a superintendent for most of his career and later consulting work. He loved what he did and often said how lucky he was to look forward to each new day, Never a dull moment. In his youth Link was a member of the NPBA and raced boats up and down the east coast. He loved to ski and play golf, He especially enjoyed the foursome he played with. The last few years of his life, his greatest pleasure was the accomplishments of his grandchildren and his pipe.

He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Ann and Edward Boulter. He was survived by his wife of 64 years; his son, Todd Walker of Hampton N.H.; his daughter, Jennifer Wilmot, her husband, Michael and their children, Jacob, Lincoln and Molly Katherine; his son, Kent Walker and wife, Ann and their children, Ryan, Michael, and Jessica Lynn of Kingston N.H.
