Salem, New Hampshire — Kenneth E. Smerdon, Sr., age 82, of Salem, NH passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Russell Smerdon and late Celina Feyes. He was one of six children. He is survived by a sister, Nancy Hajjar of Methuen, Mass., his sons Richard of Salem, NH, Kenneth Jr. of Plaistow, NH, David of Baltimore, Maryland as well as his daughter, Sandra and her husband, James LaBelle of Derry, NH. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia Smerdon . Additional family acknowledgement is extended to Julie O’Shaughnessy and William McLennan, II.
Kenneth was educated in the Lawrence school system and worked at General Tire Bolta Products as a Foreman for 30 years. He was a Korean War Veteran. He loved politics, history, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
