Need a job
Boy, am I ever in the wrong business. I need to get a job at the IRS, the only place in the country where you can be totally corrupt, violate the Constitution, keep your very highly paid job, and get a very nice bonus for doing it. How do I get a job there?
So now we can be pretty sure that the persecution of the tea party has come from the White House. The president gives the investigation to his buddy in the Department of Justice and picks one of his heavy campaign donors to head it. Then he announces on national TV that there is no corruption or wrongdoing in the IRS, thus giving us a quick peek at what his “investigation” is going to find. This is how Chicago politics works, folks, and you’re now seeing it taken to a national level, which means we are going to have to deal with this kind of mentality for years, unless we are able to find some honest people who are willing to take on these no-holds barred thugs that have hijacked the executive branch of government by using our taxpayer money to buy votes.
Councilor Jim Jajuga’s claim, “When I do some work for a client, I really don’t discuss that work” really means, “When I get caught in a lie, I really don’t discuss that lie.”
I agree with the caller that the draft should be reinstated. Today, there are so many wayward young men and women just going day to day looking for their next fix. And because of this, they turn to criminal activity to pay for their drug habit. Being in the military would give them a purpose. It would make them strong in mind and body. I remember so many young men in the 1950s and 1960s enlisting or being drafted after graduating high school. They left as boys and came back as men with a stronger sense of being and all became productive and taxpaying citizens. The use of drugs is staggering in today’s society. With all the information out there about addiction, it makes one wonder why anyone would try any drug knowing that their lives would change forever to a substandard quality of life.
What’s with the Haverhill recycling program? Mayor Fiorentini made a big deal about homeowners putting out recycling bins and even hired two enforcement officers to make sure people were participating. I put my bins out faithfully but have had only one pickup since December. Others on Merrimac Road and Old Amesbury Line Road have had the same problem. A complaint to the city went nowhere. I guess the program doesn’t recognize Rocks Village as part of the city anymore.
Democrats had better start listening to those that actually work for a living instead of trying to create more dependency on the government. This is the administration of food stamps, free college, uncontrolled immigration, endless unemployment benefits, EBT cards, SSI disability, SNAP, WIC, AFDC, Medicaid, and an alphabet soup of programs that were supposed to end poverty. Fifty years later, there has been no change in the level of poverty after spending all that money. Meanwhile those who work every day and pay taxes get no assistance from the Democrats. The Democrats are the party of those that look to the government for handouts. They are trying hard to make sure more people are dependent on government and stuck in poverty.
