---- — Amoral nation
Thank goodness the elections are over. No more campaign lies, no more wondering how Romney will run our country. A friend told me the winners of this election have a hollow victory because of all the lies in the campaign ads. People are really gullible. We now will have women killing their unwanted unborn babies in droves because our tax dollars will pay for it even though some of us didn’t want it. We will have Elizabeth Warren in Washington saying “Yes” for the Democratic Party until she has laryngitis instead of voting for what is right for all in Massachusetts. We will push God further out of our lives because our politicians won’t stand up for Him and say this is wrong. We will have atheists telling us if we go to our church and pray we will offend them. We will not be able to do anything that is morally right, which means we now can say the United States is an amoral country. Wow. We’ve come a long way from our forefathers who founded this country on God and freedom.
I am amazed at some liberal acquaintances who are shocked that Republicans like me won’t begin to “join” them in unity after this election. All of a sudden those who made hateful remarks are trying to renew friendships and accusing Republicans of being unpatriotic by not joining hands and singing “Kumbaya.” Sorry, I couldn’t hear you from the back of the bus where Obama said I had to ride. Please remember that roughly 50 percent of us didn’t vote for your president. No thanks. If he actually does compromise, include and listen, we’ll talk, maybe. But the hurt and pain is remembered. Other than that, consider me your ex-friend. I remember all the nasty remarks — an elephant never forgets.
The conservatives cannot fix the mess we are in, which was caused by the conservatives. No matter what they say they cannot prove they have ever done it. If you read anything about our history you would know they have never done it and with their idea how to fix this mess they just don’t have the qualifications. It is hard to understand their thinking if they do not believe people should be helped. Then on the opposite side, they must believe that it is OK for 1 percent of the population to own everything. Isn’t that how billionaires are made.
I hear that Massachusetts will be issuing new license plates shortly. They will be a lovely shade of blue with white lettering indicating the state’s new motto: “Massachusetts, a One-Party State. Republicans Need Not Apply.”
The president should weep. After all, he has no one else to blame now for the mess he created! Days after the election and the second largest defense contractor is cutting 30 percent of its work force. Pepsi has cut thousands of jobs and this is just the beginning. “Forward?”
Well America, you wanted Obama, you got him. But if you thought unemployment was bad, watch what is coming. Boeing is announcing layoffs; how soon will it be before Raytheon and other large employers follow? This will be followed by companies that supply parts and services to these large employers. Many chain restaurants have already said they will be cutting their employees to 30 hours or less per week. Also don’t forget all the tax increases under Obama care that are coming.
