Why is it that at least one sidewalk on the Route 110 bridge at I-495 is never cleared of snow? It’s a four-lane overpass with a 1-foot breakdown lane on each side. It is impossible to walk on the roadway with 1 foot on each side.
I just read that state workers are eligible to retire at 50 with 25 years of service. Really? And who is paying for those benefits? We all know that it is us, the sucker private-sector taxpayers, who ourselves likely won’t ever be able to retire before we die. After all, we have to pay so others can!
I would like to thank the gentleman who tracked down a Methuen police officer with my lost debit card. The officer went out of his way to find me and return it. May both of your families be proud of what you did. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
I couldn’t agree more with the Wheel of Fortune fan who is annoyed with WBZ. As a Jeopardy fan, I enjoy watching the game every evening and am riled when the show is pre-empted by a meaningless weather update or redundant Patriots coverage. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge Patriots fan and get plenty of updates via other media. Recently, Jeopardy was replaced with paid programming. There already is a void of intellectual stimuli on TV as is, but paid programming at 7:30 on a Saturday night? Come on now!
