---- — To the editor:
Thank you for the opportunity to address the residents of Methuen. When I was elected mayor of Methuen in 2011, I pledged to our citizenry that I would be a mayor that you could be proud of. Striving to live up to the promise I made to voters, I focused on producing results that count for our city. When it came time to run for re-election, I felt the only way to campaign was to present my record directly to voters.
To be re-elected as your mayor is one of the most humbling experiences of my life. I am grateful for the support of so many -- not just at the ballot box -- but for the countless phone calls, emails, and conversations filled with words of encouragement. I am honored by the faith our residents have placed in me, and this faith drives me each day to make our city a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
To the people of Methuen: thank you for the opportunity to serve two more years as your mayor. I promise to work each and every day to build upon the results of my first term, so that Methuen continues to move in a positive direction.
