Letter: Eyring for School Board is a win for Windham

To the editor:

My wife and I moved to town in 2010, primarily because of the outstanding reputation of the Windham School District. Since then, we have started our own family while getting to know some other wonderful neighbors and families within this community.

Last year, I had the opportunity to meet Ken Eyring in a meeting at the Golden Brook School, where I was immediately impressed with the passion he conveyed about the quality of education that this town owes to its children. Since then, I have come to know Ken more closely, and in that time I have learned that he is not just passionate about education itself but he is also someone who truly believes that the Windham tax dollars and resources that are used to educate our students must be spent wisely and in a responsible manner. This is necessary not only for the benefit of our students but also for every resident of our town.

Ken understands the value in educating our children as we prepare them for their future roles as the leaders of this great nation. He also understands that an unlimited budget and irresponsible spending do not equate to an outstanding education.

Ken is not only fiscally responsible but also a thorough researcher, a patient advisor, a loving father and husband, and an intelligent and thoughtful member of this community. It is for all those reasons that I endorse Ken Eyring for School Board member.
