Free country
In regards to the Methuen Housing Authority director, Ken Martin: I haven't heard one person say that he's not doing the job that he's supposed to do. This is just a way for Linda Dean-Campbell, Steve Zanni and others to go after him. The last time I checked, this was a free country and you were allowed to work as many jobs as you wanted.
Martin's job
I don't want Ken Martin's job. I worked for over 40 years in administration. This deal is one of those lucrative wash my back and I'll wash yours. Taxpayers are paying for this lucrative job that this gentleman has. You want to keep your jobs, right? What about the poor person who doesn't have a job? Think about it.
Shameful
Shame, shame, shame on the residents of Methuen Housing. I'm guessing that no one in Methuen Housing pays taxes and they have no problem spending working people's tax dollars on inflated salaries for hacks.
Entitled
This is in response to "What raise?" who complained about the Social Security increase: The only thing greater than your math skills is your sense of entitlement.
Another bill
I called the other day about the raise in my check, well, today I got a Happy Valentine from the Town Hall. They gave me my excise tax bill which was $100. My car is 17 years old and I'm getting a $100 tax bill. I can't believe it. I'm beyond myself.
Not truthful
Obama said he would cut the deficit in half. He lied. He said his administration would be transparent. He lied again. He says anything we want to hear, but doesn't do it. He's not truthful.
Voter ID
Voting laws are being broken. We need to show IDs when voting. Our system is being corrupted. No wonder this country is in trouble. We're losing our freedoms to cheaters.
Why delay?
What are the workers doing down at the energy office? They asked for certain papers or information. I sent it out twice to them five months ago. They told me that they'll send me another form. I haven't received it yet. Why the delay? They said they're four months behind making out applications. What are they getting paid for? If they can't do the job right or understand it, then get some new workers. I'm tired of sending in the same forms and having them lose them. Something's wrong.
Romney
The Massachusetts voters that are blaming Obama for the health insurance laws which provide contraception and abortions should know that Romney already had that in place for many years in Massachusetts. Don't vote for Romney.
River water
Haverhill had better fix their sewage processing plant on the Merrimack River and clean up the pollution and the barrels of toxic waste at the dump site all along the river before they even think about processing it for drinking water.
Swamp water
The mayor of Haverhill wants water. Why not dig out across from Kenoza Lake? It would make the area look better and get rid of the swamp.
Political
I'm calling in reference to the Methuen Housing director, Ken Martin. He said the attack on him is all political. He should know because that's how he got the two jobs in the first place.
Lantigua's signs
Every corner I take, anywhere I turn, I see a sign that says Lawrence is moving forward, according to Mayor William Lantigua. Who's paying for those signs? I hope it's not the citizens of Lawrence. I hope the money is coming out of Lantigua's pocket.
