To the editor:
It is our right to complain about the government’s spying and use of telephone and Internet records. If the government has nothing to hide, then it should inform all the citizens about what it is doing. The very fact that the government is using covert and secret means to access information boggles my imagination.
As far as civil rights goes, President Obama is a fraud. This is from someone who supported him in two elections. It frightens me that the Bush administration and now the Obama administration are getting away with spying on U.S. citizens.
It is no excuse to rely on prior terrorist acts for the massive invasion of privacy that is being presently conducted. President Obama and Attorney General Holder and the White House seem to laugh this off. As an attorney, I find this governmental conduct reprehensible. Where are the checks and balances?
I urge readers to contact their members of Congress to stop this information predator and his subordinates from further misconduct.
