Letter: Thanks for help responding to husband's illness

To the editor:

I have had a very ill husband for many years and have had many occasions to call the City of Methuen's 911 emergency response team.

My husband had COPD and other medical issues, which necessitated frequent 911 calls and many trips to the hospital for emergency treatment during his lifetime.

Rico just recently passed away, and I am writing this letter to express my sincere appreciation to the City of Methuen's 911 emergency response team, which includes members of the Methuen Fire Department and Lawrence paramedics, for their professionalism and kindness in dealing with his respiratory problems.

I would also like to express my appreciation to the doctors, nurses, emergency room and other miscellaneous staff members of Lawrence General Hospital during his final treatment and for the compassion shown to me after he had expired.

Thank you again, I could not have gotten through this sad occasion without your help.
