---- — To the editor:
How long, Lord, must we wait for your intervention? How long must we wait for this foolishness in Washington to stop?
Both parties are guilty of being self-serving, only concerned with themselves, their party’s agenda, their promoters, and their re-election. They are concerned with everything except the reason they were elected, which is to serve and protect the citizens of this once great country of ours.
Let’s face it people, we have allowed this to happen. An example of this is the force of just one atheist to file a complaint about the reference to God in the schools and it is very quickly eliminated. However, millions of babies are murdered in the United States and around the world, and the laws set up protection from harassment at the clinics that perform these horrendous acts under the guise of woman’s right to choose to kill or not to kill.
I’m in my eighties and back in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s there was a respect for life, our neighbors, our police, our church, and our politicians, and that respect was retuned back to us. Yes, those were the good old days.
I would suggest not a silent rather a peaceful demonstration by emailing our politicians in Washington expressing our positions on what matters to us. If the politicians feel threatened of losing their very large pay, health care, perks, and all the other disgusting things they get, which their constituents do not get, and fail to start doing the right thing for God and country, then let’s vote them out on the next election. That is, if we survive that long.
If you don’t know your representatives in Washington, go on the Internet and find out how to contact them and do it. If we don’t do this, then we will get what we deserve.
