Everybody remembers the scene in "Back to the Future" where Biff the bully is picking on the hapless George McFly in the school hallway, when Marty intervenes and stands up to him. Marty is just about to get a beating when the principal happens upon the scene, and Biff is cowed (for the moment) into submission.
