Letter: Support LePage for City Council

To the editor:

With Election Day coming on Nov. 5, there are many City Council candidates talking about their contributions to Haverhill. However, one candidate seeking re-election stands out — Colin LePage.

Mr. LePage worked with others on the single-stream recycling project to educate residents, businesses and town officials about the benefits of curbside recycling and its importance to our city and environment. With his help, the recycling program has been a huge success for the city of Haverhill.

He makes decisions based on facts and feedback from both the citizens and elected officials of the city. He does not base his decisions on what is politically popular but what is right for our city. He asks the necessary questions to ensure we are on the right track to prosper in the future.

Mr. LePage is passionate about the success of our schools. There have been many discussions and decisions about the future of our schools. He will be an advocate for continuous school maintenance but will also recognize the time for new school construction.

In closing, we want a city councilor who listens to its citizens, keeps us on a smart financial track for the future and looks for long-term solutions.

We encourage you to vote for this hard working and engaged candidate who will listen to your concerns and ensure our city is on the right track. Join us in casting your vote to re-elect Councilor LePage.
