---- — Poor Hillary
Haven’t heard a word about former first lady Hillary Clinton telling all of us about her extreme poverty. She told Diane Sawyer she was dead broke when she left the White House. Maybe she had to pawn the furniture.
I tripped and fell in a Salem parking lot. I was shopping alone but am so grateful to everyone who made sure that I was not truly alone. A kind woman, I believe her name was Sharon, simply took charge and stayed with me and kept me calm. She notified a store manager and whatever needed to be done, was done. An ambulance soon arrived and I was taken to the hospital. I am so grateful to her and those who got involved to help me. There are times when any one of us may be in a similar situation and ask ourselves, “Should we get involved and offer help?” Please, offer your help. It can make such a difference. My most sincere gratitude to all who stopped to assist.
I have been a Republican voter all 80 years of my life. The Garcia sisters vote on the casino bill went against 80 percent of the people who voted for them as if that meant nothing. I and all my family will never vote Republican again. There are many more like us.
A recent Sound-off titled “IRS scandal” was right about the quagmire of scandals surrounding the Obama administration and said, “we need a Woodward and Bernstein.” The sad reality is there will never be Woodward or a Bernstein because the national media has been providing cover for the Democrats for decades. If Nixon were a Democrat, Watergate would have been a 30-second spot on the local news. If you have any doubt, look at the months of coverage Gov. Chris Christie’s “Bridgegate” got and how little coverage there has been in regards to all of the “Obamagates” the White House has been involved in.
Fear of ‘dogs’
I would like to see at least one newspaper in this country list all of the scandals and blunders of this administration. But I doubt it for fear of the White House “siccing the dogs” of the federal government on them.
Everyone knows that the IRS is lying. I was listening to a talk show on the radio, and they had this computer expert who has run huge computer companies for a living. He says that no way are those emails lost. Why Congress does not get somebody like this to get them is beyond me, unless this is nothing more than a dog and pony show.
Nice to see
Take a ride around Haverhill! Many old, dilapidated houses are being rehabbed. They’re everywhere. It’s nice to see, and great for our property values. It creates jobs, too. Now if we can get crackpot drivers to stop driving around in a rage, we’ll be near perfect.
The smart legislators are the ones who do not accept the stipend. That way you will never know how many days they did not go to work at their no-show jobs. My neighbor travels to Boston 317 days a year for a lot less than $71,000 a year and no one reimburses him for his travel expenses. Just remember in November who your no-show legislator is.
